RecallAlert republishes recall information from U.S. government agencies. It is an awareness tool, not a safety authority.
Always verify a recall with the issuing agency before acting on it. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or superseded. A year/make/model lookup does not determine whether a specific VIN is included; a VIN lookup is more specific, but only NHTSA or a dealer can confirm repair eligibility. Absence of a result does not prove a product is safe.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity on your account. One account per person.
The community feed is for observations about recalls and product safety. The feedback board is for product ideas. You may not post:
Report a community message by pressing and holding it, or use the report menu on a feedback item. Content reported by several members is hidden automatically pending review. Accounts that repeatedly break these rules may be suspended or removed.
Do not attempt to disrupt the service, access other accounts, or scrape it in bulk. Agency data is public; this service is not.
Delete your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Product tips and update emails are off until you enable them. You can disable them in the app or with the unsubscribe control in any sequence email. Safety alerts in the app are separate from these optional messages.
Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription. The purchase screen shows the localized price and billing period before you confirm. Apple or Google charges your store account, manages cancellation and refunds, and may offer a trial shown on that screen. You can restore eligible purchases in the app. Cancellation stops renewal; access normally continues until the end of the paid period.
Official recall browsing, recall details, product checks, and high-priority safety alerts remain available without Premium. Premium adds expanded monitoring and convenience features. Deleting a RecallAlert account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel it in the store's subscription settings as well.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service or reliance on recall information.
